COVID BULLETIN UPDATE
SEPT 13 COVID 19 BULLETIN
"Please note that while the CAC is making every effort to ensure that parents/spectators remain part of our tryout process, restrictions on social distancing and our facility capacity, prevent us from being able to accommodate everyone. Please keep in mind that this is largely in part to the increased numbers of players for cohort scrimmages as well as the number of coaches and staff who are present not only for evaluation of your players, but also to ensure that the highest levels of sanitation/safety are being followed. Entrance will be permitted on a first come first serve basis based on the sizes of the cohort groups and number of staff present. We understand that this is not ideal, but ask for your cooperation while we try to make the most of this difficult situation."
SEPT 9 COVID 19 ANNOUNCEMENT
As many of you may be aware, we have had positive COVID exposures within our local Edmonton high schools. The CAC would like to take this opportunity to ensure that everyone is aware of the protocols currently in place should any of our registrant families become affected moving forward.
Albertans with symptoms
- You are legally required to isolate for a minimum of 10 days if you have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat that is not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition.
- The mandatory isolation period is 10 days from the start of symptoms, or until symptoms resolve, whichever takes longer.
Have symptoms but tested negative for COVID-19
- If you tested negative and have known exposure to COVID-19, you are legally required to isolate for 14 days.
- If you tested negative and have no known exposure to the virus, you are not legally required to isolate. However, it is important to stay home until your symptoms resolve so that you do not infect others.
Based on the above-noted AHS Guidelines, should you or someone in your family fall into either of these categories, please contact our Head Trainer (
headtrainer@cac-hockey.com) as to how to proceed with the return to play protocols.
Please note that it is imperative that our families communicate any symptoms or exposure - we understand that we are in the midst of the tryout process, however, the safety of our players, their families, and our Staff is paramount. All information is completely confidential. Any required contract tracing information will be provided to AHS only when requested and any changes to our tryout process will fall under their direction.
