Hockey Loves Mom Initiative - We Surpassed Our Goal

This season, we surpassed our HOCKEY LOVES MOMS goal! Together we raised $15,959.05

Thank you again for all your time and dedication to helping the Women's Community Society (WCS) this year. Have a safe and enjoyable off season and we will see you at the banquet and/or next season.

For the third year in a row, the CAC WCS is proud to support the initiatives of the Lois Hole Hospital Women’s Society. This year all proceeds from the Hockey Loves Moms Charity Games will go to the purchase of a neoBLUE blanket system. When newborns with high levels of jaundice are admitted to the postpartum units in Edmonton’s Lois Hole Hospital for Women, this next generation neoBLUE blanket system allows for newborns to be held by their parents during phototherapy, promoting parent-child bonding and increasing overall newborn well-being.

One neoBLUE Blanket system alone costs approximately $8800 and requires an additional overhead roll stand. With your support, over the 8 Hockey Loves Moms games this season, our goal is to raise enough to purchase one neoBLUE blanket system as well as a portion of the cost of the roll stand.
