🏒 Hockey Loves Moms: 5th Annual Benefit Game and Fundraising Event Announced!

Join us on Sunday, February 1, 2026, as the CAC U18 AA Butchers and Packers face off against the TRAC Wolverines for a very special cause. This isn't just another league game—it is our 5th Annual "Hockey Loves Moms" event.

Why We Play

Now in its fifth year, the Hockey Loves Moms initiative has raised more than $60,000 for local organizations like the Lois Hole Hospital for Women and The Zebra Centre. This year, we are proud to partner with YESS (Youth Empowerment & Support Services) to support vulnerable youth in Edmonton.

Game Day Schedule & Activities

We have a full program planned to honor the women in our players' lives:

• 2:00 PM | Puck Drop: A ceremonial puck drop featuring a mom and player from both the CAC and TRAC Wolverines.

• Intermission | Chuck-a-Puck: Buy a puck for $5! We’re aiming to sell out all 100 pucks, with 100% of the proceeds going to YESS.

• Post-Game | Rose Presentation & Photos: Following the final whistle, there will be a photo opportunity as players present roses to their moms/guardians/step-moms, grandmothers, and mentors. 

• Team Boutique: The CAC Women’s Society will have exclusive "Hockey Loves Moms" merchandise available for purchase throughout the game. CAC is also now taking pre orders online, please find more information on how to submit your pre order here.

To make this event a success, we are calling on our team families to assist in a few key areas:
